On Thursday, April 8, organizers of the Lucky Dog Ball presented members of the Darlington County Humane Society with a check for $10,000. The funds were raised at the “Lucky Dog Ball,” a dance and silent auction held on March 25 at Hartsville’s Prestwood Country Club. Though this is the first Lucky Dog Ball, the organizers plan to hold the fundraiser biannually.
