Bojangles Honors District Teacher of the Year
Bojangles representatives presented dozens of books to Ashley Taylor, the Darlington County Teacher of the Year, as part of a partnership with South Carolina Future Minds to honor teachers who make a positive impact on their students and the future of South Carolina through their commitment to education.
“Bojangles’ is proud to continue its support of education in South Carolina,” said Bojangles’ President and CEO Randy Kibler. “Partnering with South Carolina Future Minds and the Teacher of the Year program for the second consecutive year gives the opportunity to thank the Palmetto State’s amazing teachers who have such a meaningful impact on the nearly 700,000 students currently enrolled in their public education system.”
To honor the achievements of all 87 District Teachers of the Year, Bojangles’ is donating more than 3,000 books to media centers throughout the state. Books donated range from Laura Ingalls Wilder’s popular Little House on the Prairie series to J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter books and Dr. Seuss’ Oh, the Places You’ll Go to S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders. The books are comprised of some of the most popular titles for children of all reading levels.
