Coalition to offer two showings of video on date rape
The Darlington County Satellite Center of the Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Assault is presenting “Playing the Game: A Video on Date Rape” twice on Wednesday.
“Playing the Game” is a video that educates people and makes awareness about dating violence and drug facilitated rape issues.
The story of the video is centered around some young adolescents who go to a party and have a few drinks. A girl in this group likes a guy, and she goes to a room with him. She does not want to have sex with him, but the guy forces her to do so.
The movie aims to educate teens about dating violence and drug facilitated rape. The first showing will be at 12 p.m. at the Darlington County Housing Authority. Pre-registration is required to attend. Please call (843) 662-1482 by Friday, April 9 if you would like to attend.
