If one has broken plastic chairs, an old air conditioning unit, shot tv, old mattress, where can you dispose of them and how?

Thanks Liz!
This was just an academic question as I do not currently have a need but see such items curbside or in ditches.
I’m familar with the recycle center on Bay, but believe it is only for recyclable materials and motor oils, paints, etc.
Ed, if you live in the city limits, these items cannot be set out for regular pick up. Call the Public Services department at 383-3019 to schedule a separate pick up date. They will also be able to tell you the fees charged to pick up your items. Or, if you do not live within the city limits, you can take the items to the nearest Darlington County Recycle Center. The phone number for the Darlington County Landfill is 398-4888; they can tell you where the other recyle centers are located. I know there is one on Bay Road near Carolina Pines Hospital.
I hope this helps.
