Hampton Inn construction

A Prudential Segars for sale sign was recently installed but from their website, it appears it is only for the corner piece of property.  I believe that is where a restaurant was planned.  Their site says the lot for sale is 0.81 acres - that could not be the entire piece of improved property.  Wouldn’t a Panera Bread be great on that corner?  Our market is probably not big enough to support one.

Does it seem that construction has stopped at the Hampton Inn site?
I meant for that to appear in the body of my question.

Construction is supposed to resume after the New Year.

I was told today that the operation was put on hold.

anyone from the city confirm or deny this?

It’s well into the new year, and no work since mid-December.  I thought maybe the cold weather, preceded by rain might have slowed down construction (especially concrete pouring and foundation excavation).

Maybe the problems mentioned in the article above were worse than imagined.

As I drove by this morning I wondered to myself why they weren’t working if it was still “in progress”.  Seems very strange and even more so that nobody from the city responded.

I’m guessing they are either having second thoughts or have ran into some kind of problem.
