how big is too big

Today when I was driving through town I look in the mirror and next to me is this huge monster truck. When it past me going down 5th street his monsterous tires were on both the yellow and white lines. I had to veir over to make sure his tires dident hit my truck..considering the tired were as tall as my SUV. My question is: how big is too big? Is this truck even legal? I do not understand how a truck that can run over a normal sized car can be legal. Can someone help me with this? I personally don’t feel safe having this huge truck driving anywhere near me.

Any vehicle bigger than a bicycle is too big.  There should be a national progressive gas tax…owners of bigger cars and gas guzzlers should pay more per gallon for gas.  The money generated from this tax should be spent on education and social programs.

What does that statement have to do with my article? I am talking about unsafe vehicles.

I do disagree with you although you are off subject. People with bigger cars and trucks and gas guzzlers already spend more on gas because they burn more. People who have older cars and trucks that use more gas should have to pay more because they have an older vehicle or cant afford a more efficient vehicle. That would be politically and fundamentally unfair.
