HVTD Updates/improvements

I’ve been working on HVTD as I’ve had time. I’ve fixed the right rail “Most Viewed” and “Most Commented” boxes. It properly displays the posts within the last month with the most of each.
I *think* I’ve also fixed the notification emails for comment and post follow-ups. Not 100% sure as I’m not an active poster, but I figure if you post or comment you could tell me if you are getting emails (and if they are going to your spam folder.)

I’ve also added a “Who’s online” feature underneath these boxes that’s been requested multiple times.
Those three things alone are not provided “out of box” and I had to dig into the actual database to do it. Now that I’m getting more comfortable with actual programming of EE (have taught myself a LOT over the last few weeks) you can expect more good stuff coming.
Next up is adding the photo upload and categorization via the article post form so that folks can add a photo to their posts without knowing HTML. I also want to figure out how to allow users to edit posts they’ve made.
I’ve also been playing around with the avatar functionality and will hopefully be able to re-enable it and actually use it within the coming
week or so.

I see the improvements and see that you are headed the right way. I haven’t given up on you guys. I could imagine that its a lot of work. Keep it up. Hopefully the posters will come back.
