I am very upset. I purchased a beautiful adult 3 year old female West Highland Terrier dog today in Ararat, N.C. The breeder said it was good that I have a fenced-in back yard, to keep a close watch because this terrier can dig the ground and run away. When I arrived home, I set her down in the back yard to allow her a chance to explore her new living area while opening my back door. I forgot about the open gate at the side of the house and she went through that and ran away! I found her in the Carolina School Play Ground and called her to me. She found a hole in the fence there and ran away…..I think possibly down Marlboro Avenue.
She answers to the name “Angie.” She has not had any food to eat yet. She is a bit shy as she is not used to people.She lived her life in a kennel and her breeding days are over.
