HARTSVILLE - Seven- and eight-year-old baseball players and their families filled Byerly Park on Saturday during the Dixie Youth AA Coach Pitch and Machine Pitch State Tournament. The tournament continues beginning at 4 p.m. Monday and 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The Masons had hoped to clinch the second half playoff game and season championship in the Dixie Youth Baseball Minor League at Byerly Park Friday night, but Sonoco had other things in mind. Sonoco upset the Masons 10-8 for the second half championship forcing a best of three series beginning 5:30 p.m. Monday to decide the season champs.
